Students

Some students host in their entire homes while they are out of town (e.g. during an exchange semester, a semester break, and vacation), while others receive guests in single rooms, de facto establishing a shared apartment with ever-changing, international flat mates. The latter gives students the opportunity to live in homes above their own budget, easing their search for affordable housing.

Commuters

Whether from Mondays to Thursdays as a consultant, or on weekends as a parent with kids in another city: Many people leave their homes frequently. With flexibly online registrable availabilities, we offer commuters the opportunity to host guests from all around the world while they are out of town—effortless, through a few clicks on our website.

Travelers

Travelers benefit from a higher budget while on the go if they register their homes with facilitea. Upon return from the trip the only sign of their hosted guests may be, that instead of dusty furniture the living space will have been cleaned routinely after every guest's departure.

Legal framework in Stuttgart

If your home is a rented flat or house, you are legally obliged to ask for your landlords approval before signing up for facilitea. To help you inform your landlord about our operations, you may find it helpful to refer him to our Infopage for Landlords.

In Stuttgart, short term rentals are permitted if the rental period does not exceed eight weeks in a year, or if rooms of less than half the size of the total living space are rented out.

facilitea supports the observance of legal limits. If your absence exceeds those limits, we will search for a subtenant to your home until your return and resign our share of sublet profits. In those cases, to address your specific circumstances, we invite you to discuss the details of our services in the phone call following your registration.
